CANON

canon: The Lady of the Camellias (ballet by John Neumeier, based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas Fils)
summary: Here.
quick rundown: Olympia is a friend of Marguerite's, also a courtesan, who welcomes her back after her brief affair with Armand Duval. However, upon being introduced to Armand herself, she sets out to seduce him and initiates a relationship to him to torment Marguerite. Their liaison is brief, but during the time Marguerite grows weaker and sicker, Olympia trying to take her place by Armand's side and in Parisian high society. Eventually, after the incident at the ball where Armand pays Marguerite for past services, he breaks it off with Olympia and at the auction of Marguerite's things, after her death, Olympia attends, looking regretful about Marguerite's fate, if nothing else then because it might soon enough be her own.
canon point: Defaulting to post-ballet, but can play her from anywhere during, too.

active times/pace: CEST/CET player. Tries to be online at least during the evening my time, but it varies. More one tag a day player than anything, but if you hit me up at the right time, I can still boomerang a bit.
brackets/prose: Definitely brackets preference. I default to present tense.
offensive subjects/triggers: Not any.

IN CHARACTER

physical affection: Go for it. Reactions may vary depending on CR, but for the most part she'll be a good sport about it.
physical violence: I'd prefer not.
relationships: F/M or F/F, though I have an affinity for F/F and ship Marguerite/Olympia like burning.
psychic info: She has no mental barriers and will be an easy read. Ask if you need more info.
magical info: No magical powers.
medical info: Nothing of note.
offensive subjects/triggers: Lady of the Camellias is all about that romanticized portrayal of sex work, so please avoid if that bothers you and also feel free to let me know, so I can avoid tagging you.

backtagging: Yes, please!
threadhopping: No.
fourthwalling: Go ahead.

"If the Lady is correct and girls like us, indeed, do not have friends, what am I, then, to her? A companion? The pleasant passing of time? How do you pass the time pleasantly, I wonder, that you imagine we do not."
INTRODUCTION
At some point, like all girls of her station that are not the divine Marguerite Gautier, Olympia lost her family name. That is not to say, she discarded it accidentally or carelessly, rather the opposite - one fine day, Olympia decided she was known by her given name to enough important people that surely they wouldn't need to know the rest. Once a man has moaned your name often enough, that name is all you become. And besides, there is a luxury to signing yourself to things simply by O.

Who is this Olympia whose name enough men have moaned, in that case? She is a little mystery to unfold, a secret to uncover, and she never gives enough of herself that you may ever be able to truly tell. Where did you come from? Oh, she may reply, the gutter, on a bad day. While on a good one, she dismissively waves her hand and says, some mountainside village, that place certainly taught me to hold my liquor young!

And who is she to the infamous Lady of the Camellias, what flower does she think represents her? Well, since Olympia is not that woman's friend, Marguerite has said so herself, she shan't limit herself to just one flower - no, give her the whole bouquet, give her the whole damned field, she is greedy by nature, selfish of disposition. What Marguerite knows of moderation, Olympia refuses to understand.

Who wants to follow the example of a dying woman?

Olympia.

AS DESCRIBED.

The girl was beautiful - and in terms of her figure, more beautiful than Marguerite. This became even clearer to me as I saw the former looked at Olympia while I was talking to her. The man who would be the lover of that woman could be as proud as M. de N..., and she was beautiful enough to inspire a passion equal to that which Marguerite had inspired in me.
